Do I get my fee back if my visa is declined?

No. INZ keeps the application fee and levies if it declines your application. Source: INZ Fees Guide.

Why is it cheaper for Pacific citizens?

Does one fee cover my partner and kids?

Often, yes. For many visas one fee covers everyone on the same application. Some visas, like student visas, need each person to apply and pay. Source: INZ Fees Guide.

What is the International Visitor Levy (IVL)?

The IVL is a separate charge that many people pay when they request an NZeTA or apply for a visitor, student, working holiday or specific purpose work visa, whether they apply in NZ or from overseas.
